Toyota Prius

The Toyota Prius closed out its second procreation with a 2009 model that was America's most efficient automobile and most affordable hybrid. Truth be told, if it had continuing for a seventh model year, its 48/45 mpg city/highway still would have beaten every comers. Instead, the all-new 2010 improves on the previous procreation in every way — play with a markedly higher EPA-estimated 51/48 mpg. Higher mileage usually doesn't come in larger, faster packages, but the 2010 Prius is both, able to do zero to 60 mph in inferior than 10 seconds.

The midsize Prius has additional a couple cubic feet to the cabin, along with a restyled and higher-quality interior. A technology showcase for Toyota, the Prius has nonmandatory systems to maintain a following distance from the automobile aweigh of it, to nudge you back if you stray into added lane and to park the automobile automatically.

A solar panel on the roof can power a ventilation fan, keeping the interior cool when parked and saving gas because you shouldn't need to run the air conditioning as much when start the car.

Without every the gizmos, the base Prius' improvements over last year's model would be awesome even if its play price weren't lower — yes, lower — by $1,000. Like we said, it's better in every way.
